This specific interest group was
formed in July 1995 with the aims of assisting
members by promoting the study of the background
of families who migrated to
Australia during the 1800’s from the area of
Cornwall now defined as
the central mining districts, centred around
Camborne & Gwennap and to foster interaction
between CAV members who had an interest in that
area.
A comprehensive collection of reference material
includes: Genealogy, Parish Information and
Records, Heritage, Mining and Transport is evident
in our Library.
Many of the Parish Records now held are unique to
this Association in Australia.
