is a very comprehensive books on
the Cornish Pioneers who came to
Ballarat. Not only as miners, but
as stonemasons, coach builders,
engineers, blacksmiths,
metallurgists, chemists, boot and
shoe makers, school teachers,
chaplains, engine drivers and went
on to become mine managers as well
as sharebrokers, architects,
councilors and mayors of Ballarat
and Sebastopol. They were
mostly Wesleyan and were preachers
and lay preachers in many Ballarat
Churches.
